‘Welcome Christmas’ Victorian Card

Don't you just love the Vintage look of this card! I used some awesome new accessories such as the designer series paper "Newsprint" (with a cool musical score sheet), new crochet ribbon and Vintage buttons. To accent the 'antique look' I used the new 'Distressing Essential Kit' which includes four fabulous ink spot colors (Tea Stain, Charcol, Mahogany and Navy), in this case, applied with ... View Post

‘Just Believe’ Natural Inspiration

In honor of my 14 years with Stampin' Up! this week, I have stolen a card design right out of the beautiful 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog.  I don't know very many better starting points than the awesome ideas in that book. I did tweak the colors to the 'Neutrals Collection'-- Very Vanilla/Soft Suede & Crumb Cake. Speaking of which... are you with the new color families yet?  If not, you ... View Post

Cute and Cuddly Baby Card

Do you like these un-traditional colors for a baby card? I had a plethora of the striped paper left over from the 'Autumn Traditions' designer series paper and I am a sucker for stripes and baby cards! I do love this bear and 'I'm kind of a BIG DEAL' stamp really does say it all when it's your own brat, right?  The set is 'Cute and Cuddly' (#113682, 6 stamps for $26.95) and includes a 'Baby ... Vintage Vogue Flowerpot Card

I LOVE this set!  And I want to call to your attention that the Beautiful Wings die (die cut/embossed butterflies) and the set 'Vintage Vogue' are retiring with the end of Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog on April 30th. I think that this would make an awesome Mother's Day card, for that special person--whether your mother, or a special 'mom' that you know. You can download the ... View Post

Great Friend Card

Can you believe I had this set 'Great Friend' for two years and have never used it until last month? The delicate butterfly is stamped in Versamark and embossed in white on vellum cardstock (#101856) then trimmed within 1/8th of the inch of the edge.  It is highlighted by the 'Modern Label punch' (#116630) and celery cardstock. I love the green/black combination (as much as yellow/black ... View Post

Last Day of Sale-A-Bration!

I can't believe that the end of Sale-A-Bration is here... kind've sneaked up on me--how about you? This adorable (and easy) money holder birthday card was made with the FREE Sale-A-Bration set called 'Happy Moments' #118664 wood, #119125 clear mount. I stamped the 'outline' image of the gifts on the Razzleberry Lemonade designer series paper twice... once on front and once on the back and ... View Post

Gift Tag Holder

I have so much of the 'Cottage Wall' designer paper left over from my Stamp Festival so I thought to put it to good use! At my team meeting last week, we made this adorable 'tag' holder (which was an idea that I flagrantly stole from the very talented Becky Roberts who made me one for a private 'Take 3' swap at Leadership).  What a nice gift this makes! And as a funny coincidence, Amanda ... View Post

Chocolate Easter Bunny

Ah, those three beautiful words every woman wants to hear... 'chocolate Easter bunny'! The fabulous 'single' stamp 'Chocolate Bunny' (#116980, $7.95) is available for a limited time while the Occasions Mini Catalog is available... don't miss it! I made a simple 'treat sleeve' with a 2 1/2 x 10 inch piece of Mellow Moss cardstock and folded it back up on itself to form a pocket. The best ... View Post

Abundant Hope 3D Easter Card

This card gets me thinking about how beautiful my daffodils are going to be when they finally bloom--they are growing bigger with every sunny day! And I am going to miss this set when it expires on April 18th.  'Abundant Hope' is a limited edition set in our Occasions Mini Catalog which retires on April 30th. It took me two days to make this card and finally 'like' the layout.  I knew I ... View Post

Abundant Hope Easter Card

My daffodils are starting to come up (seems like winter was forever this year)! I included an up-close shot of the beautiful detail of the stamp.   You can click on the card for a close up as well. The card is Vanilla and the Saffron designer paper.  The flower was colored in with the Summer Sun and Old Olive Watercolor Crayons and an Aquapainter.  This was a very quick card!  The vanilla satin ... 5th Avenue Floral Easter Card

This beautiful 3D Easter Card is made with Stampin' Up!'s '5th Avenue Floral' stamp set and the (leftover from the Stamp Festival projects) designer series paper 'Cottage Wall.' The flower heads were cut out and petals bent with a bone folder and then attached with Dimensionals®.  I love the colors Celery and Plum together anyway. UPDATE: I bought a new Nikon D3000 SLR camera and I took a ... View Post

Birthday Gift Bag Card

This is a fun birthday card idea that I saw similarly done a few years ago. It incorporates quite a few punches and the colors are taken from Stampin' Up!'s  psychedelic looking designer paper 'Kaleidoscope'. The 'gift bags' were made from the coordinating 1 1/4 inch jumbo square punch and the 1 3/8 inch jumbo square punch, the handles are natural hemp.  I used a tiny square of white tissue ... View Post
