CD Case Calendar

This adorable desk calendar is my latest SAB Stamp Camp item that I will share here.  This one was more popular than the poor mailbox!  The design was stolen from Margie Roderer (a very talented lady who needs a blog!).

The very slim CD cases will open and (after a slight resistance) flip backwards and you can stand it up.  UPDATE: You can download the calendar (in EXCEL format) The creator “Cat” will be updating the calendar for 2008 on that link.  The other place you can get pre-printed calendars is at Vippies.com, they sell tiny calendars already bound in a number of sizes.

Tomorrow is the last day to place your order for the “Delight In Life” SAB set which I used in this project.  I will be sad to see the SAB sets gone this year, I’ve really loved them all… especially the Simply Scrappin’ kit.

Loves Me Designer Series Papers

This cute little mailbox was pretty much voted “least liked” project this month at the stamp festival to my surprise!  It is made in four pieces (bottom, front flap, back flap & mailbox top) and glues up quickly (well, for me anyway!).

I began from a pattern that I had on my hard drive for a few years.  I was inspired by the tiny mailbox featured in the current Winter Mini Catalog on page 17 and decided to look for it again.  I re-worked the pattern in order to maximize the number of mailboxes I could get out of 12 x 12 Designer Series paper (as well as the coordinating solid cardstock).

The mini cards were made with the Pocket Notes and were designed by Amber Evans.  You can my the tutorial (and download) on my Project Gallery!  Let me know what you think…

This purse is made from the “Pocket Notes” in the current Winter Mini Catalog (available only until February 28th!).

The note inside “You’re a special ‘purse-on’, worth more than a mint!” and adding a score line to make a pocketbook idea was totally stolen from one of my partners in crime Amanda Coughlin (see her new blog and tell her how talented she is!).

The other set used is “Be Happy” and the embellishments are Ribbon Originals “Sweet Shop” and square metal edge tags.

This is a cute little gift idea and I am sorry to see the Pocket Notes go away, I love the way it closes with the slit.  The “key tag” punch done with coordinating cardstock makes the flap longer and folds over into the slit to keep the pocketbook closed with the mint in it.

Post It Note Cover (Enchante Papers)I have uploaded the directions (and more samples) to my website Project Gallery.  There is a PDF with the step by step process.

This is made from my least favorite (ooops! am I allowed to say that?) Enchante papers, but it really does work in moss and brown.  Of course I used up all the floral papers first and I really do like this combination (especially the binding paper… very elegant).

The loops are one in the front cover and one in the back and the pencil holds it shut.  I first tried ribbon, but it needs to be stiff, so cardstock had to do.

I ended up being most successful using our stick glue very liberally to glue the Designer Series paper to the chipboard.  It took a bit of time and pressure at first (two minutes at most) but it held the paper more securely in the long run.
