Love that “Doodle This”
Posted: Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 | Comments
I love the “Doodle This” set! Of course ‘Office Accoutrements’ is used all over as well.
This is a fancy cover for a (very) small white sandwich bag. It is actually only 3 3/4 inches across, 2 inches deep and 6 inches high. It gets a lot of mileage out of a LOT of accessories!
The “handle” is the ‘key tag’ punch and I rounded the corners and went completely punch happy with the new ’spiral tab’ and ’round’ tab punches. Very little coloring was necessary, I used sponges and markers.
I plan to make another one with mostly the Petals & Paisley papers but the hubby wants me to work on my taxes!

Covered “On Board” 5×5 Art Journal

I covered this album in minutes using the Petals and Paisleys paper over the On Board 5×5 art journal. I just LOVE the new mini catalog–and everything in it! Now I have to book workshops to afford my wish list!
The cover was easy with the new spiral punch and I was able to add cardstock pages with pockets as well using that punch to make it fit like they belonged!
The round tab punch was used for the page tabs, but after I photo’d this, I punched some designer series paper to make that tab more colorful. I covered On Board Accents, both the heart and the negative left over. I used the stick glue to glue it up. I touched it up with the matching stickers from the Accents & Elements “Little Reminders” as well as the stamps from the Office Accoutrements set!

Finding Joy in the Little Things…

I needed a quick easy non-card idea for an event I was doing this weekend and got the inspiration from SUDSOL (Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing Online). The dedication of these volunteers is so incredible. SUDSOL helped me a lot as a new demo years ago looking for ideas and advice and I still use it today! On the SUDSOL mailing list, Patti Scanlon helped a demo looking for a certain pattern, narrow down her search and since the links were there in her email… well, I was nosy! One of the links was three stamp camp ideas by a demonstrator in Columbus, Ohio named Connie Babbert (who has given me permission to reprint the directions). Thank you Connie! The fold over is 2 1/2 x 8 inches and scored at 2 1/2, 2 5/8, 5 1/2 & 5 5/8 inches. The Word Window punch is the pocket opening of the bottom flap and the stamps are the Polka Dots & Paisleys stamp set, the Petals jumbo roller wheel and the decorator paper (Petals & Paisleys) is layered on So Saffron cardstock. I embellished the cover with the Spring Bouquet flower punch. For SU demonstrators, the link directly to all three of her stamp camp projects is here, but you need to be a site member to view the page. Luckily SU demonstrators try a two week free trial membership–you’ll be amazed by the wealth of patterns, templates and business ideas you will get. You may also get a lot of emails, LOL!

About Me
Posted: Tuesday, March 13th, 2007 | CommentsI am a SAHM of four beautiful girls and married to a ravishingly handsome and exciting man for over 20 years.
My Stampin’ Up! business is the excuse for housework not getting done… and really, which would you rather do? I created this blog originally to show other stamping professionals how wonderful Wordpress is for blogging but ended up loving it for the way it enables me to share what I am working on at the moment.
I also have a website with samples and projects at www.uStamp4Fun.com and I will be “announcing” additions and updates through this blog… so keep checking back!
In addition to stamping, I do web design & development for small businesses.
