Just Delightful Folio

Posted: Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 | Comments (5)

Just Delightful Photo Folio This terrific “photo folio” idea was shared at Leadership this year.  I did cheap out and cut my own (not purchase the pre-made kit).  The sets used were Delight in Life (SAB) and “Be Happy”.

This is another teaser for my Stamp Festival this Saturday, but fear not, step by step (with photos) will be shared on my Project Gallery after this weekend (after I recover!).

As you can figure out this is cut from a 12 x 12 sheet, 4 1/2 inches wide and scored to fit our Mini envelopes (which come with blank cards). I used the cards to stamp the flowers and other embellishments to cut out so they didn’t go to waste!  The “belly ring” is over embellished (as is my style).

I love the black with the subtles (Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink), it is a very eye pleasing combination to me.  Imagine what that would look like with photos and journaling?!

Like Hot Chocolate a Latte!

Posted: Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 | Comments (1)

Like it a Latte hot chocolate coverI got inspiration from two samples on this… a card designed by Barbara Miriello (see her new blog) and the other a hot chocolate “cover” idea from Amanda Coughlin (one of our “fearsome foursome” at Leadership this year!)

The “cover” is pretty much scored and folded around the hot chocolate packet and the set used “Like it a Latte” is from the Winter Mini Catalog which expires the end of February.

Nothing really is better than a good friend with chocolate (especially if they don’t like chocolate so they are giving it to you!).

Valentine Survival Kit

Posted: Friday, January 26th, 2007 | Comments (4)

Valentine Survival KitThis is more like a "girlfriends" survival kit for Valentines Day, but I have included the PDF so you can make it yourself.

I make these up every third year… that way most of my customers think it’s new!  I have a list that had the meaning of survival kit contents (ex. rubber band "to remind you to stay flexible", Sweet Tarts "for the good and the bad times", etc.  I have it in PageMaker which most people don’t have.

I will update this blog with a PDF when I get a minute (that’s pretty funny actually–getting a minute).  I have a minute now at 4:30 am… hmm… Think I need to pay the bills first!

Valentine Idea

Posted: Wednesday, January 17th, 2007 | Comments (5)

ValentineI made this based on an idea was forwarded to me but I don’t who the original creator was.

This was made from the set Treat Yourself, and I stamped the hearts to match the colors in the actual candy (pictured on the box).

I stamped the gumball machine two times (once on red and once on white) and then cut out the white for the globe and the money knob.

I don’t know if you can tell that I have stamped the “globe” on sheet acetate with Staz On, cut it out and laid it on top of the white globe so it appears to actually be glass!

The ribbon is wrapped around under the box and pulled through a hole in the front and back top and tied above the box in a bow so that it can’t fall out no matter how hard it is pulled.

If you know who the original creator was, let me know and I will give proper credit!
