Thankful Season Card

Thankful Season Card

This is a sample from my August Stamp-A-Stack of stuff… and I’m not done with the projects that I am doing with this terrific set, so don’t miss September’s class!

UPDATE: I colored in using the watercolor crayons (almost like outlines) and blending very gently with the Aquapainters, taking care to wipe off excess crayon to leave light and dark spots, the leaves are all sponged in Artichoke & Mustard (with the edges touched up with Eggplant crayon that I watercolored for shading)

I would be doing the happy dance if they ha.d designed a few more stamps for this set, but Shelli hasn’t called me lately for my opinion.  And I can’t call her anymore (since that little ‘restraining order’ issue) JUST KIDDING!  My point is that give the stamp set designer a BIG RAISE, because this type of artwork is my style.  You can view the entire set here.

And believe it or not, I made this card with just the three stamps it came with–the cornucopia, the leaf and the “Thanksgiving Blessings”.  Okay, so whoever at SU designed this set, he or she is my artist… I would lock them up and force them to design stamps with this gorgeous detail. Okay, “lock them up” does sound a bit rough (heh, heh, heh….)

If you’re doing a petition I’d love to sign it — I love this design style as well! And who wouldn’t, when they see your gorgeous cards? This is beautiful!

So gorgeous!! Great job! How did you color it? WWC? Pencils? These kind of detail stamps are so lovely but seem like so much work for people to color in especially at a SAS. What’s your secret? 🙂 thanks for sharing!
