Direct to Paper *Step by Step*

NEW - Faux Sealing Wax

Polished Stone

Tutorial on some cool direct-to-paper techniques using Crafters Ink, Pearl Ex & embossing powders!

Using hot glue, rubber stamps, and Pearl Ex powders to make faux "sealing wax" seals.

Background technique using gold "re-inkers" dotted onto glossy cardstock and then dabbed with a cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol and dye re-inker drops.

Fabric Stamping

Tile Stamping (Nat'l Stone)

Stamping on fabric is best done with crafters ink or acrylic paints (in my experience).  You can also use Lumiere mixed with Pearl Ex both painted on (as a background) or sponged or brushed onto a stamp.

Using Staz On black ink and coloring in with markers on natural stone tiles.  Stone is very porous and you can easily blend the marker pigments, but very carefully either with a blender pen or a fine sponge tip applicator (like the one that comes with the Stampin' Pastels).  Too much "wetness" will cause the pigments to bleed and absorb into the stone.

One Sheet Wonder (Doubletime)

Crayon Resist

Using one stamp set and several color inks, fill an entire 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper with one pattern.  Cutting carefully, you can use this paper to create coordinating ensembles!
