I’m having a little fun with the Illuminations set and the ‘To The Nines’ Specialty Designer Series paper (#114038, $11.95). These papers are a heavier weight and are textured as well. I’ll share my ‘Thank You’ one next…
The “H” in Hope and some of the flourishes were highlighted with Crystal Effects for a glassy 3D look.
The colors are Sahara Sand, Sage Shadow and Close to Cocoa. The ink was Chocolate Chip (because I wanted a very dark focal image).
I have included a sample of the “To The Nines’ Designer series paper. Aren’t the designs and textures awesome?!
I actually don’t like how these photos came out and am very disappointed in my too quick decision to purchase a new camera. I bought an inexpensive Cannon and if I lighten these photos, I will lose detail.
As many of you know, everything electronic has turned against me in the last month and almost everything I own (camera, video camera, scanner and even my computer) had to be replaced.
Thankfully my computer backs up every night to an external hard drive (using Acronis True Image) so I just had to go out and get a new computer and restored it completely (took many hours, but I lost nothing). It was the smartest $50 purchase I ever made. Vista on the other hand doesn’t play nice with my older peripherals and my decision to go Windows 64bit lost me some applications and older hardware (ex., my old scanner). Go to Costco and purchase a cheap 500G hard drive and get Acronis and you are set in case of a hard drive failure. Set it up to backup at 2am every night and you are good to go.
So, it appears that if it were not for bad luck, I would have no luck at all. BTW, if you *ever* see me in line at the supermarket, quickly get off my line! It may look faster, but I have a second sense about getting on the line that takes the longest… something will go wrong and I will be waiting long after everyone is gone… and you’ll be waiting after me!

Beautiful card! Love the Crystal Effects too. Sorry to hear about your computer. Thank you for the info though. And by the way–if your in line too long it’s probably me in front–I usually pick the one that takes forty forevers to finish. 🙂

Hi, Amy. Great card. I love the way the flourishes leave the sand/vanilla(?) piece. And the crystal effects…just perfect.
Incidentally, I didn’t realize that “to the nines” was different from the other dsp’s…better go back and read my IBC a little closer. 😉

The one photo definitely shows the glassy effect ~ it’s gorgeous! Great job on the card and sorry to hear about your bad luck. I’m in the market for a new digital camera as my old Canon is about 8-9 years old. What model did you buy that you’re unhappy with as I don’t want to make the same mistake you did? Please respond. Thanks!
