Birthday Gift Bag Card

This is a fun birthday card idea that I saw similarly done a few years ago.

It incorporates quite a few punches and the colors are taken from Stampin’ Up!’s  psychedelic looking designer paper ‘Kaleidoscope’.

The ‘gift bags’ were made from the coordinating 1 1/4 inch jumbo square punch and the 1 3/8 inch jumbo square punch, the handles are natural hemp.  I used a tiny square of white tissue paper for the tissue inside the gift bags.

I like to use the Modern Label punch over the Designer Label punch for the greetings.  The ‘On Your Birthday’ set is FULL of greetings including ‘belated’ greetings, and many of them fit on our punches.

this is wonderful;you might be able to tuck a bit of money in one card (I’m not sure the opening, once it’s glued to c.s)

I love this – so original! I hope it’s okay to case this card.

How novel is this idea! Like Susan’s suggestion of tucking money inside one, it could also be adjusted in the size of the bag and colour combo to make an ideal male birthday card with again some money inside! TFS

I remember cards with this technique a few yrs back.. but really like your version here!! Very nice!! This is something some of my “older” stampers can manage.. can punch out instead of cutting by hand!!
