Okay, in my usual papersaving manner, I have cut the background paper (‘Spice Cake’ designer series paper) in a 3×4 in piece (for the bottom) and 2×4 in piece (for the top) which maximizes the amount of layers I can get with no waste… and the middle gap kind’ve works with the Espresso cardstock showing.
The leaves were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the ‘First Edition’ designer series paper, sponged and cut out. I used two Sizzix dies to make the scalloped circle and inside vanilla… I need to pull out my SU circle cutter to make a closer fitting center, but I was being lazy this week.
Tell me what you think!

I think it’s a beautiful card, Amy! Love the space saving measure of cutting the DSP pieces to maximize the number of cards you can make and I actually think the little border of Early espresso adds to the card, almost looks like a strip of ribbon! The scallop and circle look just fine the way they are…here’s what I am thinking, if SU wanted us to have perfect layers they would offer us a 2″ circle punch!!!! That circle cutter is for the birds! Thanks for sharing, love the card. Especially using the First Edition DSP and stamping then sponging the leaves on it….very clever!

I like this….I didn’t order the stamps or the DSP and now I am kicking myself. Beautiful work. Love the paper saving idea….

Noooo… you must buy it!!! You still can you know, I put the order #’s. I am positive that it will continue over after the catalog ends. I just wish they would continue DSP’s which they really don’t.

I am really a miser… BUT you have to see what a miser I am with the glitter paper! I save every tiny scrap and use the small punches to get every possible inch out of them!
