Another Elegant Easter Card…

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Okay, I promise that this is my very last post with "A Good Egg"… I just love that set!

The egg was embossed on our brushed gold cardstock and also embossed with the swirl stamp in Baroque Motifs.  I have gotten more questions on this card on my Gallery than any other… the background blue paper is from the LeJardin papers.  It has those wonderful swirls in it and I added a gold embossed swirl of my own as well as I might have gotten carried away with the zig gold painty pen and shadowed a few swirls of my own freehand.

The bling (which you really NEED, don’t you?) is our rhinestone brads (the amber colored ones) and of course some tiny rhinestones that I had around (gotta love bling!).

The second photo REALLY shows the shine best… the flat scan doesn’t do it justice.

Oh, and the kraft colored taffetta ribbon is my absolute favorite color!  I cannot tell you how lovely it looks–kraft sounds ugly, but it is really a taupe color.

Okay, how’d I do?

Sponsor Me!

Friday, March 14th, 2008

On May 3rd, my family and I will be walking in the first ever "Get Your Head in the Game" Awareness Walk in Wilmington, DE for brain tumor awareness.  You can read more about the event HERE.  It is my personal goal to raise $1,000.00 and I am writing in hopes that you will help me to that end.

We walk in honor of our friend, Christina Loeffler, who is suffering from an inoperable brain tumor. She is only 10 years old.  Christina is a wonderful child with a beautiful spirit and each day is a miracle for her and her family–but please remember her in your prayers that God will grant a miracle of full recovery. If being loved counts for anything than I believe that this is why she is still with us… and obviously God believes the world is a better place with Christina here!

Click Here to read all about it and to sponsor me.

Our family is honored to try and be part of the awareness and fund raising to help others have a better prognosis in the future with the advancement of medical research.  We do it as much for Christina as for the future of all our children, brothers and sister, husbands and wives and loved ones who may be touched by this.  Will you help us try to achieve that?

A Good Egg - Easter Basket

I am hoping to be forgiven for lack of posting by posting a very cool project with downloadable template (click on thumbnail left to download the directions and template).

This was one of the Stamp Festival projects last week… a 3D egg basket ‘gold on gold’.  Stampin’ Up!’s awesome "Brushed Gold" paper embossed with the flourish from ‘Baroque Motifs’ (egg from "A Good Egg" set). See more samples of "A Good Egg" on my website.

My ‘Stamp a Stack of Stuff’ Class is online for purchase, click here to view it.  It includes another take on the 3D egg basket… a bright pink basket with ‘crayon resist’ rainbow eggs…
