Elegant Holiday Card… with photo insert

Season of JoyThis elegant card is made with Season of Joy which is available in the Holiday Mini Catalog, but only until November 30th!  AND it was a card featured in my September "Stamp a Stack of Stuff" class which you can now purchase online (the photos, recipes and directions) now!

The base card is Always Artichoke and the top layer is River Rock with Bravo Burgundy stamped and crimped, all stamps are from the Season of Joy set.  The satin ribbon is also a limited time accessory in the Holiday Mini.  I embossed the tree in Always Artichoke crafters ink and crystal clear embossing powder for a fabulous glassy look.

Holiday Card with Family Photo insert

This is also one of the 60 card class (with a 30 card option) that you can see dates for and register for on my class calendar HERE, I have just added Saturday, December 1st, 10am-2pm as one of the class offering days/times.

On the right you can see the ‘photo insert’ which is a MS Word document (4 inserts per page) that I created it with.  The document is a "table" of 2 columns and 2 rows of  fixed height & width.  I drop the photo in one ‘cell’, put the words around it and then replicate it the other 3 times.  I print it out and cut it into four just slightly smaller than a quarter sheet.  It is printed on photo paper.  Confused? Okay, enough of the torture, you can download the Word document HERE.

This is more personal than just a photo post card, but it also allows for a photo for those special people who you don’t see all year long!

Hi! I am wondering, did you adhere your photo insert to the right side of the inside of your card? Thanks so much!!

    Amy,
I love this idea! Thanks so much for including directions for the computer challenged among us. Yes, that would be me! I like to include a picture each year, but sometimes the picture takes over the card. This is a great option! You rock!!
