I absolutely love this card!
I got the inspiration for this card in Chicago this past weekend from a card that I received from Mary Robin Nowack and this is one of the cards that will be featured at my ‘Stamp a Stack’ of stuff tomorrow evening (repeated Friday morning)! See my online Calendar for all the information… Mary’s card was done with Vanilla crafter’s ink and Vanilla coordinating cardstock but of course… wh
ere is my Vanilla pad??!!!(grrrr…). The green is Always Artichoke and while I used Basic Brown ink, I used Chocolate Chip cardstock. Of course my perennial favorite ‘Lovely as a Tree’ is the main set. Anyhow, I made do with white crafter’s ink which is more ‘snowy’ looking, so I added the tiny ‘crescents’ of white on the branches of the tree with the edge of the sponge dauber (okay, okay… so I dropped the dauber the first time and it looked like snow on a branch LOL!). So, while Thomas Kinkade (the artist "painter of light") won’t be getting nervous about competition, I was pleased with the result. I added light glitter after photographing (as glitter doesn’t photograph well–well, for me anyway). The side fold is one of my favorite ways to do a card and you can see that I used the Weathered background stamp and sponged more brown on the edges of the card to add to the ‘weathered’ wooden appearance. I haven’t decided on the greeting and while it is winter, it is such a peaceful card, it can be really used for any occasion and is definately appropriate as a masculine card… So, how did I do? **Remember my customer challenge for feedback on my blog–win free product!**

Hey Amy, do you ever mail your classes to people? If so, I would be interested. I am an SU demo and I love all your ideas and great work. Yes, you are one of my stamping heros! 🙂 I would love to have the opprotunity to do some of your classes and then see if I can get my customers interested. My hearts desire is to teach people how to make handmade cards. I think this is possible. But in order to do so, I NEED HELP! I don’t always come up with great ideas, I do a great job casing others, and I would like to get more people involved without stalking Hallmark stores. Let me know what you think! That’s an amazing card! It can be used for many things. I love the snow! That turned out so perfect. It looks realistic!
We did some snow last night with a gel pen in white, but this looks better!

Oooohhhh….aaaaahhh…better than 4th of July fireworks, huh? I just love this beautiful card! Every single thing about it and would love to know all the details, too. I have always loved this stamp set but you stamped the tree so close to the bottom edge that it looks like a completely different tree!! Genius!

I accidentally found your blog back in April and fell in love with your work so much that I saved and printed every email. Your work is fantastic and fun. Your cards are a piece of art. You make it all look so easy and your photos makes it even better. I have been silently watching you (gosh I feel like a stalker!!! lol) and have “cardlifted” many of your ideas. I had to break the silence and tell you that this card is my all-time favorite. It just reminds me of home so much…(I now live in FL)….when I was surrounded by evergreen trees while riding my horse through the mountain woods with the threat of snow. It was so peaceful. Ahhhhh the memories. Well anyway I just wanted to say Thank you so much!

This card is gorgeous! I cased this card and shared it with a group of stampers at my Christmas camp. They were intimidated at first, but in the end thought it was awesome!
