This adorable card is actually an “oldie” made with the Simply Spring set… I’ve been too busy to play with my new stuff (as well as I have loaned so many of my stamps out, I can’t play 🙁
I love the combination of yellow & black… and who doesn’t love bees (okay, people who are allergic to their bites?!).
The card is actually a standard size but instead of folding over, it folds in from the top and bottom into the middle and the top is corrugated. I usually wing it and have to fold more than once to make it the correct size (hence the corrugation to cover my mistakes, LOL).
I have to use the sticky strip to attach anything to corrugated papersince it really does resist most other glues. The ribbon holds the card closed.
This second photo shows the “one piece” of cardstock that I used to make a stationery holder (okay, so this one doesn’t fit more than 3 cards).
The secret to making this stationery holder is to just score it at a bit larger than one of the cards and scoring the center at at least 1 inch to accomodate 4 cards and envelopes. This was my prototype so it really isn’t big enough to fit more than one card.
