House of Haunts…

Friday, October 10th, 2008

This spooky card’s ‘moon’ was made by using a 1 1/4 inch circle punched bond paper ‘mask’ and sponging first More Mustard and then Elegant Eggplant.  The ‘tombstones’ are the tag punch and then I used the corner rounder on one to make the old fashioned ’rounded top’ with corners.

Upsy Daisy Embossed Card

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

How awesome is this set and the new Designer Series paper "Urban Garden"!

My color inspiration is from the Urban Garden DSP, mixing Night of Navy with the new Kiwi Kiss.   The flowers were embossed in white on the leafy DSP and then gently sponged with Kiwi Kiss to make them pop…  this was a quick card that we did at my August Stamp a Stack of Stuff!

I have been working on some techniques with the awesome line of ‘silhouette’ style stamps!  Look forward to sharing them soon!

A Rose is a Rose… is a beautiful set!

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

The moment I saw this set on cruise, I have been waiting to get my hands on it!!!  At this point, this is going to be my founder’s circle swap (although my hand hurts just thinking about cutting out all those flowers).  This a 4pm the night before my monthly Stamp-A-Stack inspiration card.

A Rose is a Rose, Stampin' Up! Set

The background is the new Bella Toile stamped in "Pretty in Pink", the flowers are Pretty in Pink & Regal Rose, the leaves are Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke and the accent flower is in the new Baja Blue… doesn’t that last color really set it all off.  I popped up the center flower and added a wide grosgain rose color knot!

I know, I know, the minute that I finished it, I realized that I should have used the new Pink Pirouette (but old habits die hard)!

Elegant Wedding Card

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

This elegant wedding card was made with the soon retiring In Color "Soft Sky" paper and matching Designer Series Paper "Spring Silhouettes".

Sets used include Together Forever & Frames with a Flourish,. Accessories include the double stitched Soft Sky grosgrain ribbon and the (for now) retired "Styled Silver" Hodgepodge Hardware.  I say ‘for now’ retired because I have seen it used in samples of upcoming sets coming out in August with the 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog!  I

LOVE the new Hodgepodge and am sorry to say goodbye to the old.  See our Special Offer on all current Hodgepodge Hardware finishes.

You can still purchase Hodgepodge Hardware and it is 25% off while supplies last (or until August 10th!).

Great Grads–another take!

Monday, May 26th, 2008

Great Grads, Classic Stars

The greeting is from Great Grads–it’s an unusual size greeting–very long and in reverse type… it was a challenge to work with.  I think that this would also be an excellent birthday card for a teenager.  I don’t think that the glitter showed up well in this photo.

The color scheme is Night of Navy & Bordering Blue cardstock stamped in Night of Navy (roller wheel also Night of Navy ink).  The 3Dstars are the small star punch  "punched out" over by the large star punch–the two Stampin’ Up! star punches coordinate very well.

Fruit Stand “Mother’s Day” card

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I just love this new stamp set "Fruit Stand" and especially the grapes stamp shown here!  I don’t know that grapes are especially "Mother’s Day" but heck, I needed a Mother’s Day card for my April class, LOL!  BONUS:  Download PDF directions here.

The leaves and the tag were done with what I call ‘faux paper tolling", I bent the edges of the paper and adhered them to the card with Dimensionals(tm) under certain raised areas on them to keep them 3D.

I’m getting into showing side shots to give you more detail, there’s another detail shot in the directions as well.  Enjoy!

One more “Wonderful You”!

Wonderful You

detail of Wonderful You

I really do love this set "Wonderful You" however it is actually one of the few two-step florals that I actually must use the Stampamajig  with or I can’t line it up!

This was one of my April "Stamp a Stack of Stuff" class projects this month.  I’ll have the class outline uploaded shortly!
