Isn’t the candy in this bag awesome?! I got it at the local Giant supermarket, it is chocolate shaped like body parts (my favorite is the eyeballs)! The Top Note Sizzix die has a ’stitched’ border about 1/8 in inside that I cut off for the orange DSP so that you can see the black layer a ‘matted’ look.

Materials List

5×4 inch piece of Basic Black
5×4 inch piece of DSP “Ghostly Greetings” (orange w/bats)
‘Top Note’ Exclusive Sizzix die cut for above papers
Stampin’ Up! Sizzix Big Shot
2 x 3 inch piece of Glossy white cardstock (for black hat)
2 inch strip of black cardstock (for large tag punch)
2 inch strip of “Ghostly Greetings” DSP (for small tag punch)
“orange swirls” design
Basic Black ink, 3×5 inch flat cello bag, large tag punch & small tag punch
Black grosgrain ribbon (approx 4 inches), scissors
1/16^th inch hole punch & silver mini brad
12 inch trimmer (with scoring blade), candy

A “Touch of Nature” Sample

I am re-posting this last year’s gift bag/stationery sample done with the retiring set "A Touch of Nature" set that is retiring shortly! This is one of the couple of sets of stationery that I made for teacher’s gifts last year.

I took a small 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 3 inch Kraft handle bag and put a ‘false front’ and stamped the vanilla tissue. The bag matches the card and stationery container all made with cardstock. I have the stationery holder standing at far left and shown open at the bottom. The card is standing up.

The main set used is "A Touch of Nature" The colors are Always Artichoke, So Saffron (sponged with More Mustard) and Black. I got the inspiration for the entire ensemble from the card (which I got in a swap but didn’t have a name on it–gotta put your name on stuff!). The center of the flower is a brown pom-pom… the 3D look is priceless.

Another ‘Gift Keeper’

I found it! I love this sample, but i mysteriously disappeared… I found it and it was only ‘missing’ the Hershey bar, but thankfully the kids didn’t damage the sample! Ah, the dangers of trying to keep chocolate in the house with 4 kids (three of them teenage girls)– a very bad thing! My previous post has the dimensions to this type of gift holder.

I love the ‘Big Birthday Candle’ set… the design inspiration for this gift holder is from a card I did last month (below). I didn’t love the card at first because it was too simple, but the up-side of simple is that I made a bunch of them to have on hand for birthdays!

Birthday Gift Keeper

This simple ‘gift keeper’ was made with the beautiful new set "Kind Thoughts" (which punches out a lovely flower with the scalloped circle punch), Baroque Motifs (an ‘old friend’ of mine) and Circle of Friendship. The color scheme is Ballet Blue, Rose Romance, Pretty in Pink & Certainly Celery… a great color combination. Download the step-by-step to making these.

I made a birthday one as well, however I think that the kids got to it because I left the mini-Hershey bar in it… my fault I guess!

I will upload the one I made with "Big Birthday Candle" when it surfaces, I really liked that one even better!
