On May 2nd, my family and I will be walking in the 2nd Annual “Get Your Head in the Game” Awareness Walk in Wilmington, DE.
We walk in honor of our friend, Christina Loeffler, who lost her three year battle with a brain tumor last June at age 11. Christina was a wonderful child with a beautiful spirit and the world seems a little less bright without her. You can read Christina’s online journal and her family’s at Caringbridge.org.
Last year with the help of family, friends and customers, I reached my personal goal to raise $1,000.00 and could not have done it without your help! I am hoping to match this success. ‘Christinas Crusaders’ was the second highest fund raising team in the ‘family team’ category. The event had some awesome sponsors which helped them raise approximately $87,000 (if I heard that right).
The event was amazing and surpassed every expectation of the wonderful organizers of this event. They shared their stories and their website has many wonderful resources for those who are suffering from this terrible affliction.
