This was one of the ‘Christmas Card Class/Club’ designs last night. And my apologies for the link issues in yesterday’s email. I have moved the ‘Class in the Mail’ option to it’s own registration page HERE. But you can still sign up for October’s hands-on class HERE.
UPDATE: To see all of the past Christmas Card Classes available ‘In the Mail’, click here.
I actually almost thought that this design was too silly to include, but I’m happy to report, it was a hit.
UPDATE: I shamelessly CASE’d got this idea for a reindeer when I saw Jackie Topa’s. She is a superior stamper!
I jokingly refer to this as the $200 card, because if you don’t own any punches, well, that’s the tab for all your punches (and I’m happy to take your order, LOL!)
PUNCHES: 1 3/4 inch jumbo circle, 1/2 inch circle, Wide Oval, Large Oval, Small Oval, Word Window, Curly Label. The ‘antlers’ are actually the Sizzix Sizzlits die ‘Swirls Scribbles’ (#113411), but if you don’t have that, you can also use parts of the Sizzix Decorative Strip die ‘Swirly’ or parts of the Bigz Die ‘Tulipe.’ I like the ‘Swirls Scribbles’ one the best.
I used Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Basic Black and Chocolate Chip cardstock and the greeting was stamped in StazOn Black, featuring the new Holiday Mini Catalog set ‘Four the Holidays’ (#116921) an excellent four holiday greetings set.
The ‘book’ is actually the curly label punch folded in half and the top & bottom cut off on a diagonal (see fig. 3). Okay, who needs all the punches? Step right up… no waiting!

Adorable!!!

Ok…that card totally made me laugh out loud! So adorable (and I’m not usually into “cute”) but absolutely loved this! And the line about the $200 card was priceless … hahaha.

What a great card. I think I’m going to make it for our holiday card this year.

Amy – I finally got around to copying this from you! Thanks so much for sharing it – I just giggle every time I look at it. I used a combination of yours and Jackie’s – I had to use the “branch” swirl from the Bird w/Leaves & Flower die for antlers – that worked fine, too.

Amy – I love this little guy. I only just saw him this week when a friend sent me the link. I pretty much totally CASE’d him – I did sponge the edges of the creamy caramel oval, circle and word window with creamy caramel ink. I also lightly sponged the edge of the white oval with creamy caramel. The real red nose and book were sponged with real red. I used real red for my card base. I just adore him and just feel like breaking out with ‘Fa La La La …’. Thanks so much for sharing.
