Manhattan Flower Bridal Dress card

Manhattan Flower Bridal Dress cardIsn’t this an awesome idea?  I just had to CASE the bride dress idea I received from a swap at convention where Betty Button,  Hinesburg, Vt., made a wedding dress from detail on the Manhattan Flower embossing folder (#114517).

I opted to make my card Vanilla on Vanilla and used the new Beau Chateau designer paper and coordinating Marina Mist cardstock and ink.  How simple!!!

What you might not be able to see, is that the dress is double layered (Very Vanilla cardstock and Vellum cardstock embossed together and then adhered together and trimmed to the outline of the dress.  Before cutting, I adhered the two layers at the ‘waistline’ and covered the monoadhesive with the taffeta bow.

Fabulous Florets Anniversary Ensemble

Friday, July 8th, 2011

This is an anniversary invitation and favor ensemble that I designed and made for my good friends Louise & Ray Phillips on their 40th anniversary. Congratulations!!!  I was so excited to be asked to design the invitation for their special day and I’m sharing it here.

The invitation is inside a half sheet of Pacific Point cardstock folded into the middle and embossed ( ‘Flower Garden’ textured embossing folder).  The ‘belly band’ is made with the Fabulous Florets set.

The invitation inside is printed vellum overlay (created in MS Word and printed onto our vellum paper) over the ‘then’ and ‘now’ photos I pulled into Photoshop and then printed on glossy photo paper.

The pattern for the favor box is one that I’ve done numerous times, you can download the PDF from an older project here,  Below are the project accessories that I used for the outside of the invitation:

Fabulous Florets (#123025 W, #123027 C)
Pacific Point cardstock
Daffodil Delight cardstock
Pear Pizzaz cardstock
Daffodil Delight 1/8th inch taffeta ribbon
Inks: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz,
Scallop Trim Border #118402
‘Flower Garden’ textured embossing folder #120175
Dimensionals™, sponge daubers, glue dots

Elegant Wedding Card

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

This elegant wedding card was made with the soon retiring In Color "Soft Sky" paper and matching Designer Series Paper "Spring Silhouettes".

Sets used include Together Forever & Frames with a Flourish,. Accessories include the double stitched Soft Sky grosgrain ribbon and the (for now) retired "Styled Silver" Hodgepodge Hardware.  I say ‘for now’ retired because I have seen it used in samples of upcoming sets coming out in August with the 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog!  I

LOVE the new Hodgepodge and am sorry to say goodbye to the old.  See our Special Offer on all current Hodgepodge Hardware finishes.

You can still purchase Hodgepodge Hardware and it is 25% off while supplies last (or until August 10th!).
