<p>The leaves were stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the &#8216;First Edition&#8217; designer series paper, sponged and cut out.  I used two Sizzix dies to make the scalloped circle and inside vanilla&#8230; I need to pull out my SU circle cutter to make a closer fitting center, but I was being lazy this week.</p>
<p>Tell me what you think!</p>

I just simply love this new set of outline/inline stamps &#8216;Gently Falling&#8217; from the Stampin&#8217; Up! <a href="http://204.228.150.61/catalogs/flash/en-US/2011_ldse3_holidaymini/index.html">Holiday Mini Catalog</a>.</p>
<p>In fact, I actually got my act together and created a video<em> (if you are reading this via Feedburner mail, you can&#8217;t see the video).</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><iframe class="" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ey6blvabpqI?rel=0" style="width: 560px; height: 315px; " frameborder="0" scrolling="" onload="scro11me(this)"></iframe><script type="text/javascript">function scro11me(f){f.contentWindow.scrollTo(0,0); }</script>
<p>You&#8217;ll see that my hand is bandaged&#8230; I got the idea to give my cat a flea-bath. Seemed like a good idea at the time.  I have stitches, antibiotics and a tetanus shot for my efforts. Anyone want an orange tabby cat? Spayed and all her shots.</p>
<p><a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/GentlyFalling.jpg" title="CLICK FOR LARGER IMAGE - Stampin" rel="lightbox[4544]"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-4614" style="margin: 5px 6px;" title="CLICK FOR LARGER IMAGE - Stampin' Up! Gently Falling Stamp Set" src="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/GentlyFalling.jpg" alt="Stampin' Up! Gently Falling Stamp Set" width="247" height="357" align="left" /></a><a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/GentlyFallingDetail.jpg" title="Stampin" rel="lightbox[4544]"><img class="size-full wp-image-4548 alignnone" style="margin: 7px 0px;" title="Stampin' Up! Gently Falling Stamp Set (Detail)" width="240" height="191" /></a></p>
<p>But I digress.</p>
<p>The card is Very Vanilla on Crumb Cake.  The ink is Crumb Cake and the leaf is Wild Wasabi and Pumpkin Pie done with the &#8216;rolling&#8217; technique.  This is an old technique that&#8217;s been around forever, however it is easier &#8216;seen than said,&#8217; if you get what I mean.</p>
<p>I want to credit Erika Clark for the inspiration for this card!</p>

<p>The &#8216;tri-shutter&#8217; card looks a lot harder than it actually is (as evidenced by the fact that I could do this at all!).</p>
<p>I hand scored/cut all of the tri-shutter cards for our Fall Stamp Festival that I am sharing here.  The good news is that I can now officially cut and score one of these in my sleep!</p>
<p>I have included the diagram&#8230; you know the drill, score on dotted line, cut on the solid lines&#8230; fold as shown (first time is the hardest).</p>
<p>The paper is the awesome (and limited time only) designer series paper &#8216;Autumn Meadows&#8217; (#116769) and the greetings from the limited edition set &#8216;Grateful Greetings&#8217; (#116511).  The stamped leaves (center panel) are also limited edition, &#8216;Autumn Splendor&#8217; (#116503, $20.95).  And all of the above can be viewed in the <a href="http://dwnloadnow.com/su/10/Holiday09_US.pdf" target="_blank">Holiday Mini Catalog here</a> and, of course, purchased through my <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=4652" target="_blank">online store! </a></p>
<p>The awesome 3D leaves is the Sizzix die &#8216;Leaves #2&#8242; (#113459 for $15.95) and I used both solid papers (stamped with texture stamps) as well as cut the designer series papers.</p>
<p><a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Tri-Shutter-Closed.jpg" title="Tri-Shutter Open - click for larger image" rel="lightbox[2459]"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2461" title="Tri-Shutter Open - click for larger image" src="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Tri-Shutter-Closed.jpg" alt="Tri-Shutter Open - click for larger image" width="409" height="248" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Tri-Shutter_Diagram.jpg" title="Tri-Shutter Diagram - Click for larger detail" rel="lightbox[2459]"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2462" title="Tri-Shutter Diagram - Click for larger detail" src="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Tri-Shutter_Diagram.jpg" alt="Tri-Shutter Diagram - Click for larger detail" width="352" height="215" /></a></p>
<p>But I&#8217;d really have to like you for you to get this for Thanksgiving!</p>

<p>I actually have some truly beautiful fall samples to share and they are easy to boot!</p>
<p>This card is with exactly the same set and designer paper as <a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/autumn-splendor-thankful-card/" target="_blank">yesterday&#8217;s card</a> but with different designs from it and a vertical layout.</p>
<p>Again, I used the <a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/AutumnSplendor3.jpg" target="_blank">Autumn Splendor</a> stamp set from the <a title="View the Holiday Mini Catalog online!" href="http://dwnloadnow.com/su/10/Holiday09_US.pdf" target="_blank">Holiday Mini Catalog</a>, the  <a title="click to view a preview of the papers" href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/AutumnMeadowsDSP.jpg" target="_blank">Autumn Meadows</a> designer series paper (#116769, $9.95).</p>
<p><a href="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/AutumnSplendor2Detail.jpg" title="Autumn Splendor Detail" rel="lightbox[2178]"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2180" style="margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;" title="Autumn Splendor Detail" src="http://ustamp4fun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/AutumnSplendor2Detail.jpg" alt="Autumn Splendor Detail" width="245" height="184" /></a>The leaves were stamped in Basic Brown and sponged with Really Rust, More Mustard &amp; Not Quite Navy and then cut out and tacked on again.</p>
<p>The greeting was stamped in brown on vanilla, punched out with the oval scallop punch (#114889, $15.95) and layered with chocolate chip cardstock punched from our new Wide Oval punch (#112082, $15.95)&#8230; a punch combination I am getting very fond of!  And of course I used the Eyelet Border punch (#113692, $15.95) to create a &#8216;chair rail&#8217; effect as well.</p>
<p>So, how&#8217;d I do?</p>
