Twick or Tweet Treat Box

This adorable treat holder is actually ‘no more’ as I type. I left it on my stamping table and looks like some kids got into it. My own kids know better, so I’m thinking neighbor kids…

Anyway, good thing I have a photo and it was super easy to make anyway!

The body of the box is the ‘Bag With Scallops’ (#114519) Sizzix XL Die without the sides attached and decorated with the Halloween designer paper ‘Cast a Spell’ (#115677). It takes very little designer paper to dress this up and our Scalloped circle punch (#109043) fits nicely on top of the fold over scalloped flap.

The ghosts are from the Holiday Mini Catalog set ‘Twick or Tweet’ (#116497) and just outlined in Sahara Sand marker.

The Scalloped Oval punch (#114889) fits nicely into the Wide Oval punch (#112082), don’t you think? So well that three of my six projects last week for my Stamp a Stack used those two punches requiring me to order another pair of them. Although everyone shared nicely I am happy to report!

Sweet Centers Halloween Treat

I just *had* to have this set when it became available and then I must admit that I fell down on the job by not actually using it! This is part of my neverending disappointment at being born into working class… and not having the good sense to at least marry into it , .

So, I finally got the excuse to play with it for my Stamp a Stack last night where we made this simple ‘post card’ style treat!

I also used the House of Haunts ( #111574) stamped in black and added some spooky sponging with More Mustard and Old Olive inks and sponge daubers.

The ‘tag’ punch makes the perfect headstone… don’t you think?

The Sweet Centers set is an ‘all reason’ set that also has some cool accessories such as the clear treat holder cups (#116802, $3.95 for 12) and padded envelopes (#116911, $3.95 for 3) to aid in protecting the cup when mailing.

The ‘heart’ stamp has some very awesome Valentine’s day potential and of course the ‘ornament’ top stamp and the hot air balloon stamp look like they would be VERY fun to be creative with!

Eat, Drink and Be Scary Halloween Treat Bag

Isn’t the candy in this bag awesome?! I got it at the local Giant supermarket, it is chocolate shaped like body parts (my favorite is the eyeballs)! The Top Note Sizzix die has a ‘stitched’ border about 1/8 in inside that I cut off for the orange DSP so that you can see the black layer a ‘matted’ look.

5×4 inch piece of Basic Black
5×4 inch piece of DSP “Ghostly Greetings” (orange w/bats)
‘Top Note’ Exclusive Sizzix die cut for above papers
Stampin’ Up! Sizzix Big Shot
2 x 3 inch piece of Glossy white cardstock (for black hat)
2 inch strip of black cardstock (for large tag punch)
2 inch strip of “Ghostly Greetings” DSP (for small tag punch)
“orange swirls” design
Basic Black ink, 3×5 inch flat cello bag, large tag punch & small tag punch
Black grosgrain ribbon (approx 4 inches), scissors
1/16^th inch hole punch & silver mini brad
12 inch trimmer (with scoring blade), candy

House of Haunts again!

This is the original "House of Haunts" card meant for my last month’s Stamp-a-Stack of Stuff… but the previous post ended up being the card we did.

It uses the same supplies but the haunted house is stamped on the Eggplant cardstock.

This spooky card’s ‘moon’ was made by using a 1 1/4 inch circle punched bond paper ‘mask’ and sponging first More Mustard and then Elegant Eggplant. The ‘tombstones’ are the tag punch and then I used the corner rounder on one to make the old fashioned ’rounded top’ with corners.

Creepy Crawly Halloween Projects

I had fun with these great Halloween projects and I just LOVE the Creepy Crawly Designer Series papers! These are two of the six “Stamp a Stack of Stuff’ projects this month.

I’ve seen altered “Pringle Cans’, but I was impressed enough to want to make my own when I saw Valerie White’s samples. I got the BOO box in my Convention 07 WOW swap (made by Terri Winkleman).

I am thinking of making up the BOO boxes for my neighbors, but I think that some of them *might* figure out who made them! What do you think? hmmmm…..

Halloween Candy Holder

This fun little candy holder was one of my Stamp-A-Stack projects this past week. Don’t miss my monthly "Stamp a Stack of Stuff"! The inspiration came from a gift card holder that I’ve made in the past (the finished product is only 3 1/4 x 4 1/2). However the unique ‘closure’ uses the ‘Batty for You’ spider adhered with a black brad, allowing the top fold to hold itself closed was a great idea I got from a recent swap (forgot the gal’s name–I can’t find the swap!). Updating it for Halloween, I made the fold over ‘gusseted’ by adding a 1/4 inch wide panel in the middle of the 6 x 4 1/4 inch Mustard fold over. That way it could hold something 3D–in this case the fun sized candy! The cover is "Spooky Skyline" rolled in black on Wild Wasabi (green) and the spooky skyline was helped out by tearing and the addition of a torn strip of vellum cardstock. The witch (from ‘Home is Where the Haunt Is’) was stamped on Always Apricot, punched and then sponged again (in Apricot) for the whole "cloudy night sky" effect–I don’t know if you can tell! Oh yeah, I couldn’t resist the great boogly eyes added to the spider–I’m a sucker for that stuff!

Autumn Harvest Scrapbook Page

Well, I broke down and mailed Stampin’ Up!© three cards (Holy Triptych, Thankful Season card & the ‘Elegant Baroque Motifs’ cards shown in earlier posts), a 3D project (the altered clipboard shown in an earlier post) and the hardest thing–a scrapbook page shown above. I am hoping to be chosen for a display helper for Leadership or Convention so wish me luck. I don’t love this page, but it did look better in person and I am really feeling ‘scrap impaired’ lately.

This 12×12 page is Always Artichoke with the ‘Batty For You’ wheel rolled in Artichoke ink. The Autumn Harvest pumpkin set was stamped in black and colored in with my favorite things–watercolor crayons and the accent color is Pumpkin Pie but it does not photograph the right color and the coloring looks washed out to me, oh well!

The ‘date’ elements are from the ‘It’s a Date’ set, which I absolutely love. One layer is the month, one is the day and one is the year and I circled the days and dates.

The Autumn Harvest set is the stamp set that you will receive at our Team Rubber Stamp Festival… my customers may sign up here. Don’t delay the registration closes in less than a week!

I will be sharing more ideas with this set in the next week or so (I do tend to fixate, don’t I?) If you LOVE this set, remember to support the demo that supports YOU (but tell her when you buy it that she owes me 10% of her commission, LOL!).
