This is another envelope trick–probably the easiest one!  I think the second photo (left) is clearer for details so I included it.

I made this with Stampin’ Up!’s® ‘large white’ envelope (#107291) and sealed it completely shut.  I punch ‘down’ each side as far as I could (1 1/2 times) with the large Tag punch and the strip down the middle becomes the handle. 

You can put things in it as gift holders and even a ‘place’ holder at the Christmas table… put their names on a tag on it!

The set used is Simple Snowman (p. 32) of the current catalog and I did add some sparkly threads (cool knitting yarn from Joanne’s!).

Okay, let’s see what you can do with it!

You can see in the photo the regular medium Vanilla envelope was sealed and (holding it portrait) using the tag punch, punch out each side, leaving the flap in the middle as a handle.  I actually can get down one and a half punches to make the handle longer.

Trim the outer 45 degree angle left from the tag punch off to square off the outer edge.

This gift enclosure was one that I made two years ago for my brother-in-law and his wife on their new home.  It is three of our larger envelopes with the flaps tucked into one another and the insides covered with a strip of colored cardstock. See full directions here.

The top layer (stamped in DD Grapevine set) was torn to show “Cherish” stamped on Handsome Hunter in Versamark and dusted with Interference Gold Pearl Ex. So, this is actually two layers of cardstock on top of the first envelope.

The envelope folds out twice (bottom two photos) and the envelope pouches hold a gift card and other other a pull out note.

This is another teaser for my Stamp Festival this Saturday, but fear not, step by step (with photos) will be shared on my Project Gallery after this weekend (after I recover!).

As you can figure out this is cut from a 12 x 12 sheet, 4 1/2 inches wide and scored to fit our Mini envelopes (which come with blank cards). I used the cards to stamp the flowers and other embellishments to cut out so they didn’t go to waste!  The “belly ring” is over embellished (as is my style).

I love the black with the subtles (Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink), it is a very eye pleasing combination to me.  Imagine what that would look like with photos and journaling?!

As I get ready to leave for Leadership tomorrow morning early, I am uploading my last entry until I come back on Sunday.  I hope that Houston weather holds out and we get warm & sun (I dislike cold weather!)

This is what I lovingly refer to as a “cheap envelope trick” done with the SAB set “Very Punny”.  The inside of this half sheet (cut 11 x 4 1/4 scored and folded) is two envelopes (office sized #10).  This is one of my hostess gifts this month.

I love the new notecards (pg. 21)–what a cute idea to shut with a little slit!  I didn’t realize until I got them that they had a flap and self closed.  Someone at a workshop the other night told me that she makes jewelry and will use them to enclose her jewelry to sell!  What a cute enclosure for a piece of costume jewelry as a gift for a little girl for Valentine’s day.
