Direct to paper technique
Direct to Paper refers to using Crafter's ink directly to
paper. In this case I added Pearl Ex Powders to it to add
shine and dimension.
Seal in the background to make it easier to stamp on and also so
that it won't come off on your hands.
Materials: Pigment inks (Mellow Moss & Perfect Plum used on
Moss paper in this sample)
Pearl Ex Powders (Assortment 2 used here), Stipple brush, Clear Matte
acrylic sealer,
Basic Black Pigment ink, pastels and dye black ink for focal
image
Take the Crafters Ink pad directly to the paper (I "swirled" it)
I used Pearl Ex Assortment 2 with the stipple brush directly onto the
wet ink
When finished, I sprayed two coats of clear acrylic sealer
Stamp the images on (I used Crafters ink again)
COOL EFFECT: After stamping the background images in Crafter's
Ink, dust a few areas with
Hologram Highlights embossing powder and heat set (adds the right
amount of sparkle)
Finish by Layering a focal image (see tutorial on
"faux sealing wax") |
